The success marks Burna Boy’s first Grammy Award subsequent to being named a year ago.

In November, the Recording Academy declared designs to change the name of Best World Music Album to Best Global Music Album, saying it’s a stage toward “a more significant, present day, and comprehensive term.” The assertion added: “The change represents a takeoff from the meanings of expansionism, society, and ‘non-American’ that the previous term typified while adjusting to current listening patterns and social development among the assorted networks it might address.”
